Novoferm GmbH is happy to see your interest in our company and its products. You may possibly be asked to disclose personal information so that we can provide you with the comprehensive information you would like to have. Any such disclosures are completely voluntary. As Novoferm is a global company, we operate a number of different websites around the globe. All of the information that you send to one of our websites in any of these countries may be transmitted electronically to a server for one of these sites in a different country. This information may be utilised, stored or edited outside of the country in which it was originally collected. Your personal data is stored in conformity with the data protection regulations in effect in the country in which the website is operated.

The company arvato systems GmbH, An der Autobahn 200, D-33333 Gütersloh, operates the website server at the Gütersloh location and the contract data processing (storage and forwarding to Novoferm and its distribution partners and representatives) on our behalf. Our host service provider is also required to comply with German data protection laws. The level of data protection in the EU member state Germany complies with Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and Council of 24 October 1995 for the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and the legal acts of the European Union based on this directive. Furthermore, all of the Novoferm contract partners are contractually obligated to confidentiality and are permitted to process the user data that is collected and stored for us and our representatives in accordance with their contracts solely and exclusively for the purposes described in this data protection statement.
Data Protection Provisions
Novoferm is very conscientious about the protection of the data from its website visitors and complies with the regulations of data protection laws. We would like to describe to you in the remarks below what personal data we request from you and store and how we work with this data. Personal data is any information that would make it possible to identify a specific person. It includes in particular your name, address and telephone number.
We seek to make most of the services available for anonymous use. Anonymous data result, for example, during the registration of websites that have been visited. The analysis of such data, which cannot be traced back to your person, help us to determine the habits of our users to make the design of our services more user friendly and to adapt them to the wishes and needs of our users.

Section 1 Collection and Storage of Personal Data

Section 2 Use, Forwarding and Deletion of Personal Data
Our representative uses the personal data you have provided to answer your queries, process your orders, check your creditworthiness and for technical administration of the websites.
Your personal data will be forwarded to third parties solely if the forwarding is required to process the contract or if you have given your express consent.
With his distribution network our representative is responsible for the collection and processing of your data from all of the services of this website (specialists, field representatives and commercial agent) elated to your queries in conformity with the principles of this data protection statement.
We have obligated all of the addressed parties to compliance with data protection laws and monitor them during the processing of your query. Our representative receives access to the stored data related to your query, for as long as your consent, which may be revoked at any time (cf. Please indicate if you nevertheless do not want to have telephone contact or are reachable by phone only on certain days or at certain times.
You have at all times, even before the forwarding of your query, the right to request information about the (intended) recipient of your query. In this case, please do not give your consent to the forwarding of your data. You may also request information about the contact responsible for you from our representative. We will then notify you of the intended recipient of your query and you are free to decide.

In addition, we do not exclude the possibility that we will forward anonymised use data for market research purposes. The identification of specific users is excluded in these cases.
We wish to point out that we are entitled to provide information about data upon orders from competent authorities in specific cases if and when this is required for prosecution of criminal acts, for the support of law enforcement authorities, in averting dangers, for the fulfilment of legal responsibilities of the national and state authorities for defence of the constitution, for the support of the secret services, or for the assertion of rights to intellectual property.
Section 3 Security Information
We have implemented a series of various security measures of reasonable and adequate scope for the protection of personal data.
Our databases are protected by physical and technical measures as well as procedural measures that limit the access to the information to specially authorised persons in conformity with this data protection statement. Our information system is located behind a software firewall to prevent access from other networks that are connected to the internet. Solely employees with a need to know information for the performance of specific tasks are granted access to personal data. Our employees have been trained in security matters and data protection practices. All of our employees and any and all third parties involved in data processing have been obligated to compliance with the German Federal Data Protection Act and to confidential handling of personal data.
Whenever personal data is collected through our internet sites, the transmission is encrypted using the industry standard secure socket layer (“SSL”) technology.
You should never reveal your password for your access to our internet sites to third parties, and you should change this password at regular intervals. When you leave our sites, you should always log out and close your browser to prevent any unauthorised users obtaining access to your user account.
We cannot warrant complete data security whenever email is used for communication.

Data Protection Remarks “Google Analytics”
In the event of IP anonymisation on this website, Google will abbreviate your IP address beforehand within the member states of the European Union or in other party states to the treaty regarding the European Economic Area. Novoferm does not communicate data to third-party states at this time and does not plan to do so in future, with the exception of the displayed order data processing for the representative named in the imprint.
Inquiries from Switzerland and the United Kingdom are processed on behalf of the Novoferm representative in the third state, in compliance with this data protection statement and the underlying German legal system.
